Eothen Stearn (born 1987, UK) lives and works in Glasgow. She has a MA from The Piet Zwart Institute, Rotterdam, a BA from Goldsmiths University, London and has attended The School of the Damned in between.
She has previously performed at UK festivals Jupiter Artland, SUPERNORMAL and BUZZCUT Double Thrills.
The textile work featured in Everybody wants to see you Glyph Picnic was a commission for exhibition La clinique du queer at Maison Populaire in Montreuil, France in 2020.
She is currently a Talbot Rice Resident in Edinburgh until 2022. Other recent residencies include: Triangle France - Astérides in Marseille, Creative LAB in Glasgow and Scottish Sculpture Workshop in Lumsden, Aberdeenshire.
In conjunction to her art practice, Eo plays in bands NIGHTSHIFT and 2Ply (Glasgow) and Difficult (based in Rotterdam). NIGHTSHIFT are signed with Chicago record label Trouble in Mind Records. Difficult have performed at multiple arts venues in Holland notably, Rotterdam Schouwburg, WORM, TAC Eindhoven and for Le Guess Who Festival. 2ply have played local venues in Glasgow.
